On 17 November 2020, Secretary of the CEC of Russia Maya Grishina took part in the meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) via videoconference, during which the Chairman of the Commission was elected.
Maya Grishina greeted her colleagues in the region and noted the high professionalism of the election organizers in the Republic.
“This year we all have to work under new conditions, to master the new provisions of the legislation,” she added. “Among the priorities of our work now are not only ensuring the electoral rights of citizens, but also issues of protecting health of citizens, which we solve together with the authorities”.
At its meeting on November 13, the CEC of Russia proposed to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) the candidacy of Evgeny Fedorov, a Voting Member of the Commission, to be elected to the post of Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The former Chairman of the CEC of Yakutia, Alexei Efimov, was relieved of his post on the basis of the personal application in connection with his appointment as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic.
“We all know perfectly well that Evgeny Nikolaevich Fedorov has a huge experience in organizational work. In this composition, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will prepare for the important federal election campaign, and there is full confidence that under his leadership this work will be successful, well-coordinated and professional,” said the CEC Secretary.
