The collection presents materials of the international conference "Modern Electoral Trends in Multipolar World" held in Moscow on 21 September 2017.
Representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of India, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of the Philippines, a number of international organizations – the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the United Nations, the Association of Asian Election Authorities, the Interparliamentary Assembly of States – participants of CIS, as well as the expert community attended the conference.
The conference participants supported:
- positive development of national electoral legislation and practice of holding open and transparent, reliable and fair elections in the interests of full realization of electoral rights and freedoms of citizens;
- efforts to strengthen further cooperation in improving electoral systems, the development and application of new technologies in the organization and conduct of elections and public control over the electoral process;
- further development of electoral legislation and its application with the improvement of mechanisms and procedures for international monitoring of the organization and conduct of elections.
