The Information Center of the CEC of Russia for the elections on a single voting day on 8 September 2019 continued the tradition of using new information technologies that has developed over the term of the current composition of the CEC of Russia. Information about the course of the elections and the counting of votes was presented in real time.
The great interest of participants and guests of the Information Center of the CEC of Russia was caused by the issues of modernization of the electoral process: voting at digital polling stations, remote electronic voting, digital services.
About 50 communication sessions (video conferencing, audio, Skype communications and other communications) were held with election commissions at various levels and other participants of the election process. Almost all speeches of the participants of the Information Center of the CEC of Russia were accompanied by thematic visual materials.
The work of the Information Center of the CEC of Russia on the single voting day demonstrated that active introduction of innovative technologies helps to increase citizens' confidence in the electoral process.
